Chevy Chase Players

Christopher Durang’s, “Sister Mary Ignatius Explains it All for You”
and “The Actor’s Nightmare”
  January 8 and 9, 7:00pm to 9:30pm
Chevy Chase Players returns with the award winning play that examines Sister Mary’s unyielding, dogmatic teachings and the disturbing yet very funny effects they had on her pupils’ formative years.
The second offering finds unprepared George having to replace another actor in a play that seems to be Private Lives one moment – no, wait … it’s Hamlet – no, hold on, it’s A Man for All Seasons.
Looking for an ensemble of energetic CHARACTERS!
The two plays require from 3-5 men and from 3-6 women (depending on whether there is double casting) with the characters roughly in their 30’s with one female character ranging into 50-something. (The role of 7 year old THOMAS in Sister Mary Explains it All for You, may be played by older actor (teens to early 20’s).  Anyone auditioning who is under the age of 16, must be accompanied by a parent/guardian who has read the play.
Auditions will be cold-readings from the script – no monologue required.
Please bring résumé, headshot and conflict list to the audition.
Performance dates are the evenings of March 21, 22, 28, 29 and April 4 and 5.
