is always seeking volunteers.

Chevy Chase Players is the DC area's oldest community theatre. We are an all-volunteer community theater and all roles (acting, techincal and administrative) with the Players all performed by volunteers. While helping to stage a production, itís great opportunity to learn and expand your theatre craft. Volunteering will have you work along with other theatre lovers who just enjoy stage a great show for all to enjoy. Here are some of the opportunities to volunteer.


This area covers all the tasks that are needed to put on a show. Some of the jobs may need some training or experience, and we are always there to help.
      • Set construction
      • Set design
      • Costume coordination
      • Props and set dressing
      • Sound design
      • Lighting design
      • Running lights or sound
      • Set painting
      • Stagehands
      • Producer
      • Director
      • Actor
      • Stage manager
      • Assistant director


These are the friendly faces that handle the box office, greet our audience members, take tickets, help direct people to their seats and serve refreshments during the intermission.


In order to produce our shows and accommodate our audiences, there are several administrative tasks that help keep the Players alive. Here are some of the responsibilities.

    • Poster/program design
